The next diagnostic scan tool tier is well over $1000, 10X the cost of the basic U-Scan reader. These simulations are essentially continuous reads of streaming data. Be aware that code readers and even their advanced apps are still talking only one way: from the PCM to the reader, whether receiving simple OBD-II or CAN BUS numeric codes or "watching" the sensor functions in real time graphic simulations or various graphs. U-Scan's upgrade "apps" are trendy and fit the Smart Phone culture. You do need the app upgrades to take full advantage of this technology. U-Scan is a Smart Phone view device and has a number of available upgrade apps that include real time sensor readouts. (Follow the link for all the details!)
